2021 Shelby F-150 Pickup Offers 775 Supercharged Ponies

One of the greatest things about Ford’s 5.0-liter V8 engine is that it makes gobs of horsepower with a supercharger attached. Shelby is taking advantage of the potential of that engine for the top-of-the-line 2021 Shelby F-150 pickup.

A Whipple supercharger pushes the output of the V8 engine to 775 horsepower, though you have to run it on 91-octane fuel. Skip the supercharger, and you’re looking at 395 horsepower. Shelby also upgrades the truck’s suspension with Raptor-style FOX shocks. Shelby says the suspension can be tuned for the street, rock crawling, and off-roading. Its interior has been tricked out with custom quilted leather seat re-covers and carbon fiber trim.

The truck also gets a special BDS lift system and 22-inch Shelby alloy wheels. The wheels are shod with 35″ BFGoodrich K02 all-terrain tires. Other upgrades include body-color fender flares, functional front fender vents, a Shelby grille, and a matching bumper with air vents. The side steps are powered and have rock guards.

The truck is available in a version without the supercharger, starting at $107,080. While that price doesn’t include the blower, it does include the 2021 Lariat 4×4 they start with. If you want the supercharger, the truck starts at $114,980, including the donor vehicle. Only 600 units will be produced in 2021, and Shelby warns that the equipment may void the powertrain warranty, which is no surprise.
