2022 Ram 1500 BackCountry Hits Dealerships in Q3

Ram has added a new trim level to its 1500 light-duty pickup range that builds on the popular Ram 1500 Big Horn and Lone Star editions. The Ram 1500 BackCountry is aimed at people with active lifestyles that want a vehicle capable of going off-road. The truck features dual-tone paint with black around the bottom and various color options for the top shade.

It comes from the factory with the 4×4 Off-Road Group that includes tow hooks and skid plates for the front suspension, transfer case, power steering, and fuel tank. Buyers also get a rear electronic locking axle, off-road calibrated shocks, hill descent control, and all-terrain tires.

Also standard on the Ram 1500 BackCountry is the Bed Utility Group. That feature includes upper adjustable tie-downs, bed extender, deployable bed step, bed lighting, and spray-in bed liner. Inside, the truck has a black interior with bucket seats.

The truck is available in both 4×4 Quad and Crew Configurations. Power options include the 5.7-liter V8 or the 5.7-liter V8 with eTorque mild-hybrid assist. Pricing starts at $40,085 plus a $1695 destination charge.
