2023 Cadillac Escalade-V Has Big Power and a Big Price
Cadillac has added its full-size Escalade SUV to its performance line. The hopped-up SUV is called the Escalade-V. For $149,900, buyers get a 6200-pound, three-row SUV packing a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft. of torque. Despite its bulk, this beast can reach 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 12.74 seconds.
Power from the engine is transferred to a full-time all-wheel-drive system via a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Escalade-V gets unique front and rear fascias, quad exhaust outlets, and six-piston Brembo brakes with enormous 16.1″ discs in the front, with single-piston rears with 13.5″ discs.
Standard 22-inch wheels, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and Air Ride Adaptive suspension help the big SUV handle better. Cadillac also includes customizable performance driving settings that change the suspension and active exhaust at the touch of a button.
Super Cruise will be an available option, but it will come later. The 2023 Escalade-V will go on sale in the summer. Despite being more than double the base price of a standard Escalade, you can bet many buyers will spend even more since many options are available, and dealers are adding on “market adjustments” these days.
