Another fine, unembellished video from the folks at YouCar takes us inside the assembly line for Porsche’s popular sports coupe, the 911 Carrera (Type 991). We’re duly impressed by the amount of manual labor that still goes into the production of these cars.

Toyota asked two typographers to design a font using a Toyota car. The idea was to track the motions of the vehicle using overhead cameras and custom software to create the font. The typographers, Pierre and Damien, chose to work with driver Stef van Campenhoudt and interactive artist Zachary Lieberman, who created the custom tracking software.

Renault is showing off what it has achieved with its autonomous vehicle technology, knows as “PAMU” (Advanced Urban Mobility Platform). In this video, we see the PAMU test vehicle, a Renault Fluence Z.E. all-electric car, summoned by a driver as it leaves its designated parking space and picks her up on the roadside.

This incredible all-terrain vehicle from Belarus outfit Litvina is capable of taking on just about any terrain you can throw at it. In the videos here, you can see it conquer deep snow, muddy off-road environments, and even propel itself like a boat through the water – though only at speeds of about 2mph.

For a recent competition, Porsche asked artists to create short films celebrating the “Thrilling Contradictions” of its sporty, yet still practical Panamera. The winner of the contest was Ross Cohen, who created Fire and Ice, in which a Panamera emerges from the ice, but only as a torch heats it.

While it’s doubtful we’ll be seeing a single Alfa 4C here in the States until mid 2014, we can certainly admire the car from afar. In this video clip, Marchettino captured the 4C revving its small, but mighty 1.75-liter, 240hp engine and booking around the track.

The folks at Autocar had the somewhat silly idea of putting a production Range Rover Sport up against current Speedway World Champion, Tai Woffinden on his motorbike. While the Range Rover Sport has all-wheel drive and an impressive 500+ horsepower under the hood, Woffinden’s superbike is specifically built for going around the dirt oval.
