Fiat 500 vs. Minnesota Snow

Written by Paul Strauss | February 17, 2014

If we lived at the bottom of the hill on a country road someplace that got a lot of snow and ice, our first choice of winter vehicles would probably not be a Fiat 500. But that didn’t stop this guy from making that decision. In fact, with a little persistence and effort, the driver of this 2012 Fiat 500 Special Edition was able to drive all the way up and down his snow-covered gravel driveway in Grand Marais, Minnesota in the little front-wheel drive car.

The driveway was covered with seven inches of freshly-fallen snow when he attempted the feat, and he managed to eventually drive back and forth enough times to flatten out the snow, thus avoiding the need for a plow. The car didn’t have any special snow equipment, other than a set of inexpensive Firestone Winterforce snow tires on it.
