Volvo has created a virtual reality smartphone app that allows you to experience a test drive in the all-new XC90 from the comfort of your own home. Thanks to Google Cardboard, a bare bones cardboard virtual reality headset, you can convert your Android or Apple smartphone into a personal VR display. Volvo is sending Volvo-branded Google Cardboards to potential customers to coincide with the launch of the new full-sized SUV.

Those who wish to experience the app can then head over to the Volvo site to download the app to your phone (the iOS app won’t be available until November 18).

If you’d like to get a Google Cardboard from Volvo, you can request one through the app, although supplies are limited. You can then explore the interior of the new Volvo XC90 while you drive down the road in a virtual world. The app will be updated following its release with new episodes, so you can drive your digital XC90 in a variety of environments.
