Short Film: This is Formula 1

I really enjoyed the film Rush. Not only do I think it was Ron Howard’s best movie yet, but it was an amazing look at the death-defying world of Formula 1 race drivers. If you love F1 racing, and are in the mood for more, check out this great tribute film from automotive enthusiast Woodsy.

In just under five minutes, the film showcases to the history, triumph and tragedy of Formula 1 racing, using snippets of classic race footage, interviews, and tragic crash scenes. And while the sport has become safer and more predictable over the years, many great drivers were injured or killed as they blazed a trail for today’s racers. Even then, it’s still a very dangerous sport, executed only by the hardest of the hardcore.
