That 1000 hp Toyota Corolla iM Drift Car Could Be Yours

Easily one of the coolest things that has ever worn a Toyota Corolla badge was that Corolla iM drift car that we talked about back in 2017. That ordinary front-wheel-drive economy car had been turned into a rear-wheel drive 1000 horsepower tire burning machine for professional drift racing. That very same car is now on Bring a Trailer, and it could be yours.

The car competed in the 2017 Formula Drift series and won a couple of events and scored Toyota the Manufacturer’s Cup. It’s up for sale, and if you want to be a pro drifter, the car meets standards for the 2019 season. It packs a 2.7-liter turbocharged 2AR-FE inline-four engine, along with a 4-speed manual gearbox from G-Force.

This thing is a real professional level drifting car and get this. In some states, you might even be able to register and insure the thing to use it as a street car. Sideways back-road shenanigans… yes, please! The auction ends on February 22, 2019, and at the time of writing, current bid is $46,100, but there is no indication whether or not the auction has a reserve price.

You can check out all the details on this impressive build over on Bring a Trailer.
