Lexus LC 500 Convertible #1 Going up for Charity Auction

Not too long ago, we got a chance to go up close and personal with the 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible, and it’s quite a stunner. We’re still several months away from the drop-top going into production, but one lucky bidder at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2020 auction will be able to get their hands on one sooner.

This very special 2021 LC 500 Convertible gets a VIN ending in “100001.” It’s finished in a beautiful Structural Blue color, and is an Inspiration Series model with various one-of-a-kind details. The car rides on special 21″ Liquid Graphite forged alloy wheels, which sit atop unique blue brake calipers. It’s also got a Liquid Platinum accent color which appears around its headlamps and taillamps, and on its side intakes and mirrors. Special carbon fiber scuff plates adorn each door sill, embellished with special LC Inspiration Series “1 of 1” badging.

Like other LC 500s, it packs a naturally-aspirated V8 that cranks out 471 horsepower and 398 lb-ft. of torque, sending all of that power to the rear wheels via a quick-shifting 10-speed automatic gearbox. Though this time you’ll be able to enjoy its power and voluminous exhaust note with the top down.

The LC500 Convertible auction will take place at about 4:30pm MST, Friday, January 17, 2020. 100% of the hammer price will go to charity, with the funds going to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The buyer will also receive a variety of other collectibles and experiences, including a framed, autographed sketch of the car, production line photos, a set of Lexus Zero Halliburton luggage, and a visit to the Lexus Performance Driving Experience along with a stay at Pebble Beach Resort and a round of golf for two, among other goodies.
