Ford Raptor R VelociRaptoR 6X6 Is a 700 Horsepower, 6-Wheeled Beast

I’ve driven the Ford F-150 Raptor R, and it’s an incredibly impressive truck – especially when it comes to Baja-style desert terrain. This powerful truck comes straight from the factory with a 5.2-liter, supercharged V8 that makes 700 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. of torque. But one thing it doesn’t have is six wheels. For that, you need to turn to Hennessey Performance and order the VelociRaptoR 6×6.

A stock Raptor R is already pretty long, and now it’s even longer at a garage-busting 27 feet long. Combined with the truck’s ample 7-foot width, this beast has quite the footprint. Hennessey stretched the F-150’s frame to accommodate a second locking rear axle and an 8-foot bed, so you can fit full sheets of plywood back there with the tailgate closed. The extended truck rolls on 37-inch all-terrain tires wrapped around 20-inch wheels and has FOX Live Valve shocks for each wheel. Other upgrades include steel front and rear bumpers, off-road LED lighting, sport exhaust, and VelociRaptoR badging.

While the extra-long F-150 retains factory capabilities like Baja mode, the added length will have a negative impact on its ability to navigate tight trails and climb over steep hills. On the plus side, Hennessey says the second axle means tractive grip is improved by more than 50% over a standard Raptor R.

If you’re looking for the most insane Raptor R you can buy, this is pretty much it. And with a price tag of $499,999, you’re going to have to stretch more than your parking space to afford one. If you’re less interested in extra wheels and more interested in brute force, Hennessey also offers a 1000 horsepower, 878 lb-ft. torque upgrade for the 4-wheel Raptor R.
