Hot Rod

Rat rods are nothing new. They have been around for generations. Essentially these are powerful hot rods that are pieced together from various bits, and have a ratty, rough finish when complete. This particular rod is part 1947 Chevy and part 1995 Mercury Cougar.

Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction is just about three weeks away, and there are numerous awesome cars going on the auction block during the event. One of the more impressive custom cars up for sale is this customized 1936 Chrysler Airflow hot rod, which has been bestowed with an updated chassis, and the V10 engine from a Dodge Viper.

I recently wrote about the upcoming Sam Pack Collection auction, which is loaded with a number of amazing collectible cars. One of the more interesting vehicles in the collection is this custom built 1926 Ford Roadster, dubbed the “Golden Era” by renowned builder Rick Dore.
