Jaguar Land Rover and InMotion Invest $25M into Lyft
Lyft received a massive cash infusion from Jaguar Land Rover’s InMotion venture fund this week to the tune of $25 million. The investment will be used to power Lyft’s plans for expansion and new tech. It will also give Jaguar Land Rover’s inMotion Ventures an opportunity to test and develop mobile services such as autonomous vehicles and support Lyft drivers with a fleet of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

GM and Lyft Working on Self-Driving Chevy Bolt Taxis
With GM having recently poured $500 million into ridesharing service Lyft, the two companies have revealed that they are joining up to develop electric automated vehicles to help people get around. The autonomous vehicles will be based on the forthcoming Chevrolet Bolt, and will use tech that GM is acquiring in its purchase of Cruise Automation, a firm that develops autonomous driving tech.
