Bentley Bentayga Art Option Puts Mountains in the Dash

Bentley never ceases to amaze with some of the options that they offer on their high-end luxury cars and SUVs. You can get things like headliners with fiber optic stars embedded, and special high-end picnic baskets for the trunk complete with champagne coolers.

For the Bentayga SUV, Bentley’s Mulliner customization division will make you some very cool handcrafted marquetry artwork for the dash. If you pony up enough dough, an artist will build an intricate wood relief for the passenger side glove box area. The design is made from 32 different layers of wood, which are first laser cut, then hand assembled by an artist.

The wood is in different colors and comes from six species of trees. Once the puzzle-like art is complete, it looks like the Roque Bentayga, a famous rock formation in Gran Canaria. Naturally, the Bentayga SUV got its name from this mountain.
