Electric Lincoln Corsair Rumored to Debut in 2026

One of the most attractive luxury SUVs available in the Lincoln Corsair. A new rumor is going around that claims an electric version of the Corsair will launch as a 2026 model. Ford has made it clear that Lincoln is part of its electrification plans, and the rumor suggests the vehicle will be built at Ford’s Oakville, Ontario, Canada factory.

Motor1 says the electric crossover will use a platform shared by Ford and Lincoln. Reports indicate Ford intends to build five electric vehicles at the Canadian factory, including its own and Lincoln models. The first model could enter production as soon as 2025. One mystery is if the combustion engine-powered Corsair will carry on or if the vehicle will become strictly electric.

The electric Corsair is expected to be called the Corsair-E, which is certainly a tie into the Mustang Mach-E name. There’s also buzz that the regular Mustang will see an electric version for the 2029 model year. I certainly hope that doesn’t mean the traditional V8 engine will go away.
