2022 Toyota GR Supra A91-CF Special Edition Brings the Carbon Fiber

We’re just a couple of years into the life of the Mark V Supra, and the car has already seen some upgrades to its performance and available drivetrains with the release of the 2021 3.0 and 2.0 models. For 2022, we can expect another new Supra, though this special edition is primarily about aesthetic upgrades. Limited to just 600 vehicles, the North American-exclusive GR Supra A91-CF gets its CF designation thanks to the inclusion of a carbon fiber body kit.

Like the current 3.0-liter turbo-6 Supra, its engine makes 382 horsepower, launching the car from 0-to-60 in just 3.9 seconds. The A91-CF gets a carbon fiber front splitter with larger canards, and the lightweight performance material used for side rockers, a duckbill spoiler, and rear lower canards.

While Toyota doesn’t provide specifics on the aerodynamic impact of the body kit, they say that there is some improvement to downforce and stability. The car comes in three colors: Absolute Zero White (shown here), Phantom Matte Grey, and Nitro Yellow, all riding on special 19″ wheels with a matte black texture.

The interior gets Alcantara and leather trim, done up in black with red stitching. The carbon fiber treatment continues inside and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel and sport pedals. All 2022 Supra buyers will also get a 1-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association, along with a high-performance driving event with instruction from an expert driver. Pricing for the GR Supra A91-CF will be announced soon, with availability expected in Fall 2021.
