Genesis X Snow Speedium Concept: Wheeling in a Winter Wonderland

In 2022, Genesis showed off a stunning concept car called the Genesis X Speedium Coupe. While the Korean luxury automaker has yet to announce plans to produce the Speedium concept, they’ve given us new hope by revealing a unique winter sports edition called the Genesis X Snow Speedium. The sleek and streamlined electric grand tourer is even more of a thing of beauty slathered in Snow White paint.

Genesis outfitted the X Snow Speedium with a slimline ski rack, custom-fabricated skis from Anavon, and quad-LED fog lights to help guide the way in inclement conditions. Like the award-winning Speedium Coupe design, its design is long, lean, and athletic. Up front, there’s a reductive take on the Genesis Crest grille that’s all about the lighting and less about cooling. And in a master stroke by the Genesis design team, this is one of those rare cars that looks fantastic from every angle.

While I’d love to say we’ll be hitting the slopes in 2025 after driving to the ski resort in one of these, Genesis is still keeping silent on any production plans for the Speedium and Speedium Snow. I’m hopeful that all of the positive feedback will help make a case for it to get made. While 2-door cars are becoming less and less common, they fit perfectly into the Genesis brand strategy of going all-electric by 2030. Plus, with Genesis’ track record in delivering consistently excellent vehicles, why not add another to the list alongside the GV60, GV70, GV80, G70, G80, and G90?
