Ram has announced its new 2019 Heavy Duty trucks, and while they look similar to the Ram 1500, the trucks don’t share any sheet metal. The Ram 1500 also doesn’t get the gigantic 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel inline-6 that Ram Heavy Duty buyers can opt for that makes 400 hp and a ridiculous 1000 lb-ft of torque.

The ’80s were a rough time for car lovers. Nothing really cool was available anywhere in the American auto scene until pretty late in the decade. I am a particularly big fan of the Fox body Mustangs from 1987 on.

Prior to this model year, Nissan wasn’t a brand most truck buyers even had on their radar screen here in the U.S. So it only makes sense that in order to re-engage in this ultra-competitive segment, that Nissan had to do something bold.

Debuting at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, the Nissan Titan Warrior Concept is an off-road concept that looks a heck of a lot like the Ford Raptor. While it’s just a concept at this point, it gives us a glimpse at what Nissan could do with their new Titan if they wanted to build an off-road machine.

Nissan has a new Titan pickup coming soon that is dubbed the Titan XD, and the truck will have the option of a Cummins turbo-diesel engine under the hood. Because of its size, the Titan XD is exempt from EPA fuel economy ratings.
