Maybach

This week we have seen a slew of photos turn up highlighting the style of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept car. One of the things that we didn’t know about was what sort of power the car would offer.

About a week ago, I mentioned that Mercedes-Maybach was teasing a new concept car with some dark and mostly unrevealing images online. That car has now fully debuted online with shots of the exterior and interior of the car for us to look at.

Mercedes is teasing a new concept car that we can’t see much detail on. The image is said to be a new Maybach model that will be coming later. All we know about the car right now is that it’s extremely long and dramatically proportioned.

Owning a Mercedes-Benz S-Class is special, indeed, that much more so the S63 AMG. Then there’s the V12 S65 AMG. Opt for the more luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S600, and you’re in hog heaven with opulence reserved for the truly elite.

As previously revealed, Mercedes-Benz is bringing back the Maybach brand, though this time as a premium sub-brand of MB itself. The first vehicle to be bestowed with the vaunted Maybach moniker will be the 2016 Mercedes-Maybach S600.

The Maybach was perhaps the most extravagant car line ever produced by Daimler, competing head on with the likes of Rolls Royce and Bentley for the top end of the luxury market. While the Maybach name dates back to 1909, its most often associated with the Maybach 57 and 62, two luxurious sedans built between 1997 and 2010.

3D artist and automotive designer Khaled Alkayed began with the one-off 700 horsepower Maybach Exelero first seen in 2005 and reimagined how it might best serve in a post-apocalyptic world. Beginning with armor plating and reinforced window louvers, Alkayed improves the vehicle’s driving capabilities by adding tracks in the rear.
