Ferrari Dino Reportedly Making a Comeback

Ferrari Dino Reportedly Making a Comeback
The Ferrari Dino, manufactured from 1968 to 1976, was a beautiful car, but it wasn’t really a Ferrari. The mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive autos, which came in both 6- and 8-cylinder models, were basically a brand unto themselves designed to allow Ferrari to try and make a dent in the market for people who could not afford the incredible prices for its top of the line 12-cylinder monsters.

Tesla Model S P85D vs. Ferrari 458 Speciale Drag Race

Tesla Model S P85D vs. Ferrari 458 Speciale Drag Race
Its a match that sounds counterintuitive – a powerful, $250,000+ V8 powered Italian supercar vs. a $105,000 all-electric American luxury sedan. But based on horsepower and drivetrain alone, you might even give the edge to the Tesla, with the 458 sending 596 horses to its rear wheels only, and the P85D pushing more than 690 horses to all four wheels.

So you want a Ferrari and are too cheap to buy a real one? While I’d personally never drive a replica, there’s surely a market for these mutant vehicles, given the large number of crazy kits I’ve seen on the market over the years.
