While there’s little chance we’ll see Renault cars sold in the U.S. any time soon, cars like the Renault Megane 275 Trophy make us wish they would reconsider. This incredible little hot hatch has demonstrated its aplomb, its stripped down track variant, the 275 Trophy-R turned in the top front-wheel drive Nurburgring time – just 7 minutes 54.36 seconds, and frankly the car just looks like a ton of fun.

Renault will be building just 50 models of this special “AIR 14” edition of the Mégane RS 275. With styling that takes its design cues from the Renault Mégane RS 275 Trophy-R that secured the record lap time for a front-wheel drive car at Nürburgring, this edition celebrates 100 years since the founding of the Swiss Air Force, 50 years of the Patrouille Suisse aerobatic display team and 25 years of the PC-7 team.

Renault recently teased us with a tiny bit of their upcoming RS Trophy car, the R.S. 01 Racer, and now they’ve fully revealed this impressive vehicle. As previously reported, the R.S. 01 will be powered by a Nissan NISMO-sourced, 3.6-liter, twin turbo 500+ horsepower engine, mid-mounted for ultimate balance and performance.

Renault certainly doesn’t shy away from making extreme versions of their vehicles to show off as concepts. They previously showed off the KWID Concept which came with a quadcopter that could fly ahead to check out traffic conditions.

In what seems like another horribly imbalanced race, the guys at EVO put an Audi R8 plus up against a Renault Clio. Surely, the V10-powered Audi has the upper hand – especially with more than a 300 horsepower advantage over the little French hatch, right?

Renault is building an all-new RS Trophy car to compete in the World Series by Renault championship, and the automaker has just revealed a short teaser video showcasing the 500+ horsepower racer. With the official unveiling scheduled for August 27, 2014, the R.S.

The Renault Twizy is an ultra-compact electric vehicle designed for extreme efficiency and eco-conscious driving. But the vehicle was really designed  for urban usage, running short hauls to and from the office or the grocery store.

The Renault Twin’Run is a one-off track-modified version of the Renault Twingo hatchback city car that the company put together back in 2013. This diminutive car has been outfitted with a rear-mounted 3.5-liter, 320 horsepower V6 engine and a sequential gearbox.

Renault has reclaimed the front-wheel drive record lap time from Seat just three months after Seat’s March lap of the ‘Ring of 7:58.44 in a Leon CUPRA 280. Seat’s position at the top was knocked down by a Renault Mégane RS 275 Trophy-R which achieved a lap time of 7:54.36, topping the Seat by just over four seconds.

Renault unveiled the highly stylized KWID Concept at the Delhi Auto Show (the car Renault teased a few days ago) and the final product is striking, to say the least. The vehicle is meant to demonstrate Renault’s commitment to new markets and the car’s fun design and tech-driven features reflect the maker’s connection to young customers.

Renault has announced that it will be unveiling a new concept car at the New Delhi Motorshow on February 5, 2014. Along with the announcement, Renault released this mysterious teaser video showing a quadcopter flying around the bright, neon-colored grey, yellow, and red vehicle.

Renault will be entering five classic Renault 8 Gordinis in the 17th Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique beginning on January 24, 2014. The event is only open to cars that participated in the Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo between 1955 and 1980.

Renault is showing off what it has achieved with its autonomous vehicle technology, knows as “PAMU” (Advanced Urban Mobility Platform). In this video, we see the PAMU test vehicle, a Renault Fluence Z.E. all-electric car, summoned by a driver as it leaves its designated parking space and picks her up on the roadside.

Scalextric has been building 1:32 scale slot-car racing sets since 1957, but we doubt they’ve ever created any set quite like this. Renault created a full-size, 1.9 mile long, electric slot-car set on the streets of London, with two of its electric ZOE cars zipping around in the slots.
