With the reveal of the Mustang Mach-E, Ford has been shaking things up with the Mustang brand of late. Now, it appears that Ford may have something else up its sleeve for the Mustang in the form of a jet fighter inspired windshield for the original muscle car.

A patent application was recently filed by Honda, and it is for something that makes me really excited. The patent drawings show a minimalist mid-engine sports car that reminds me a lot of an Arial Atom.

A patent application turned up at the USPTO last month that shows a new dual stage turbo system being developed by GM. This system appears to allow for isolation of either the low or high-pressure side of the turbo, with the ECU controlling which side is in use.

Google recently filed a patent application for a weird and wacky car safety device. The idea is that in the event of an accident, the hood would crack like an eggshell and release glue. In theory, if a car with this tech hit a pedestrian; the ped would stick to the hood of the car instead of flying any further.

Being on a commercial aircraft is cool for a bit, but an hour or so into your flight, it gets very boring. This is why airlines offer in-flight entertainment with videos on tiny little screens for you to enjoy.

Continuing their push into overall human mobility, Ford has filed for a patent that is for a very, very weird way to get around without your car. The patent shows something that looks like a Batman gadget, if the Caped Crusader was on a budget and moonlighted as a clown.

One of the most exciting things that Subaru and Toyota have done in a long time was to build the cheap, rear-wheel drive BRZ and Scion FR-S performance cars. After the honeymoon was over, fans of those cars started to wish Subaru and Scion/Toyota would offer up hotter versions with more power.

One of the things that I am looking forward to the most about autonomous cars is the ability to pay more attention to the people you are with and the sights you see during long road trips.

Car companies are always out for new tech that will make their vehicles safer and if that tech makes the car cooler at the same time, all the better. A new patent application from Ford has surfaced that shows the company is looking at future vehicles that have photoluminescent trim.

I find it rather annoying when people call or text me while I am driving. Driving and avoiding idiots texting and making calls while they are driving is a waste of time for the rest of us – never mind the safety implications.
