This year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit gave us some terrific new cars, some that surprised us completely and some that we knew were going to be revealed at the show. We sat down and looked at all the vehicles that were unveiled at the show and chose our top five favorite cars that debuted at the show.

While we’ve seen a model of a Porsche sculpted from ice, the guys at Canadian Tire have done them about 1,000 times better by building an actual truck out of ice. Yes, what you’re looking at here is a fully-functional pickup truck created from blocks of ice.

This incredible all-terrain vehicle from Belarus outfit Litvina is capable of taking on just about any terrain you can throw at it. In the videos here, you can see it conquer deep snow, muddy off-road environments, and even propel itself like a boat through the water – though only at speeds of about 2mph.

The Romanian company borrows ideas from the world of off-road racing and applies them to building what it considers to be the best, most capable specialty off-road vehicles available anywhere.

Driver Robby “Channel Orange” Gordon was hooning about in his truck during a Stadium Super Trucks race at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, when he landed a jump badly and his truck rolled over. Incredibly, he landed right back on his wheels and kept driving.

The Willis Resilience Expedition is an effort led by 19-year-old Park Liautaud to break the world record for skiing across Antarctica from the coast to the South Pole. The official truck for the expedition will be a customized Toyota Hilux 6×6 built by Arctic Trucks.

Front-wheel drives, rear-wheel drives and 4-wheel drives cower in the presence of Mercedes’ AMG badged G-class hypertruck – which not only sports 6-wheel drive, but has a ginormous 544 horsepower, 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood.

The classic Ford Bronco was always one of the sturdiest vehicles you could buy. While it wasn’t much on its interior design, it was certainly a truck you could depend on. The restoration experts at North Carolina’s RK Motors Charlotte took this classic truck and gave it a dramatic overhaul, adding an improved drivetrain, body accents and an interior that’s as rugged as its exterior.
