For those contemplating the purchase of a new Corvette, Chevrolet has added two new and distinctive design packages to the lineup for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: The Atlantic luxury convertible and the Pacific performance coupe.

In 1963, Chevrolet redesigned its flagship sports car, the Corvette with the introduction of the first Corvette to have the Sting Ray moniker. This film from that era shows the heritage of the Corvette and what went into designing and building the first prototype 1963 Corvette Sting Ray.

The C7 Corvette Stingray is already a powerful bit of kit, but out of the factory its V8 “only” puts out 460 horsepower. That clearly isn’t enough for some folks, as is evidenced by this impressive upgrade by Vengeance Racing.

/DRIVE had the chance to record this practice session at the 24 Hours of Daytona with driver Tommy Milner and Corvette C7.R Racing. Milner’s helmet-cam allows us to follow along as he takes his place behind the wheel and takes to the course.

Chevrolet recently unveiled the special edition Corvette Stingray concept commemorating the release of Gran Turismo 6 on the Sony Playstation 3 and the game’s 15th anniversary. That special edition vehicle is now available in the game, so you can drive it today.

We’re not certain if this commercial for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is slated for Super Bowl Sunday, but that doesn’t really matter. Watch it right now, and enjoy this beautiful car in an ad campaign that is gloriously bereft of celebrities, talking babies, or any other song and dance.

Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is one of the country’s great road circuits. First established in 1955, Road America carries on the tradition of races that used to occur around the old Elkhart Lake road course.

While today we can enjoy Chevy’s impressive C7 generation Corvettes, let’s take a ride back to 30 years in the past to see how Chevy was pimping their then brand new C4 ‘Vette. This amusingly-dated commercial serves as both a time capsule and reminder of just how much automotive design and technology have evolved in the past three decades.

Chevrolet recently unveiled its stunning 2015 Corvette Z06, and they have also announced the Corvette C7.R race car, which shares a lot of technology with the street version. The two ‘Vettes share engineering and components, including chassis architecture, engine technologies and aerodynamic strategies.

Chevrolet extends its reach into supercar territory with the new 2015 Z06. This bad boy gets its get up and go from an intensely powerful supercharged 625hp LT4 6.2-liter V8, and cranking out 635 lb-ft. of torque.

The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray boasts 460 horsepower under the hood and a 0-to-60 time of less than four seconds. But how can you best show off your lap times and driving skills to your friends?

Pfadt Race Engineering modified a 2014 Corvette Stingray with a bunch of their aftermarket tuning parts, adding a supercharger and new exhaust headers, and tuned the car to boost the car’s 460hp V8 up to a monster 650 horsepower.

While there aren’t any public roads in the U.S. where you can legally drive the shiny new Corvette C7 at top speed, the unrestricted speed lanes of Germany’s Autobahns are fair game for pushing cars to their legal limits.

The late Dick Lang raced cars from the 1950s to the 1970s, and one of the most iconic vehicles he drove was the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray #85 shown in the photos here. The car, found in fair condition, was meticulously restored at a cost of over $240,000 back in 2011, and is now going up for auction.

Limited to just 550 vehicles, this elegantly-appointed model of the 2014 Corvette Stingray will be based on Chevy’s top-end 3LT model. Outside, it’s been decked out in a rich Jaguar-like paint scheme with a deep racing green body, and a brown drop-top.
