This year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit gave us some terrific new cars, some that surprised us completely and some that we knew were going to be revealed at the show. We sat down and looked at all the vehicles that were unveiled at the show and chose our top five favorite cars that debuted at the show.

Jaguar C-X17 Concept Sees Red
We’ve seen the Jaguar CX-17 SUV concept before, but we have to say it looks better than ever in the candy-like red color as it heads to the Brussels Motor Show this week. Other than its beautiful red body, the only other change is the two bucket seats in the rear instead of the cramped three seat configuration seen in the previous design.

MINI John Cooper Works Concept Ready to Roll
MINI showcased its new John Cooper Works Concept at the 2014 North American International Auto Show and, from what we saw, it’s a car very worthy of the JCW badge. The JCW comes with a Bright Highways Grey finish that resembles brushed aluminum, bold Chili Red accents and striping, and 18-inch John Cooper Works light alloy wheels that are striking in person.

Infiniti showed off the breathtakingly beautiful Q50 Eau Rouge Concept at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The vehicle is Infiniti’s concept of a high-performance version of its Q50 sports sedan showcasing Infiniti’s vision for future designs, including more dramatic aerodynamics influenced by Infiniti’s Formula 1 vehicles and complex carbon fiber composite bodywork.

Kia GT4 Stinger Concept Unveiled
Kia officially took wraps off the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept that they hinted at recently and the two door, 315 horsepower, rear-wheel drive looks like nothing we’ve seen before from the Korean car maker. The GT4 Stinger’s stunning looks begin with vertical LED headlamps that frame a multi-layered deep black grille surrounded by a glowing white border.

Nissan Sport Sedan Concept
We previously got a gander at a tiny bit of Nissan’s promised Sport Sedan Concept, and now we’ve seen the full vehicle up close and personal at the 2014 NAIAS show in Detroit. The 191.7 inch-long, 4-door sedan offers sporty and aggressive body styling, and is a preview of Nissan’s future direction for a production sedan with performance driving dynamics.

Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept Announced
This two-door crossover SUV concept shows what Audi’s vision is for a possible future compact recreational car. The car will be officially unveiled at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week. From what we can see, although the vehicle has the “allroad” name on the license plate, this four-passenger, two-door crossover resembles the Audi TT more than the wagon-like allroad and is closer in size to a TT with a wheelbase of of just 98.8 inches.

Volvo Concept XC Coupe Revealed Ahead of Detroit
On the tails of a recent teaser video for the Concept XC Coupe, Volvo will be officially announcing the new concept car on January 8 prior to its unveiling at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The Concept XC Coupe is the second in line of three concept cars with the Concept Coupe, released in August being the first one.
