Subaru took a WRX STI to the Alps and asked driver Mark Higgins to drive the car down the world’s oldest bobsled run. The run the modified STI drove down the 6,076 foot-long St. Moritz olympic bobsled track, which falls 426-feet over the length of its run.

It’s been revealed that Subaru has landed a permit to test autonomous cars in California. This is good news as it brings us one step closer to fully-autonomous Outbacks. The Subaru Outback might as well be the official state car of Colorado, and since 90% of the owners can’t drive for crap, this is the perfect combination.

Subaru is teasing what it’s calling an “all-new” Crosstrek for 2018. The crossover SUV is also known as the XV in some markets. All we have for now is a single teaser image of the vehicle that shows it from the side in shadow.

I’m pretty sure Subaru is trolling all the BRZ fans out there who have been clamoring for a proper STI version of the car. The normal BRZ has a scant 200 hp four under the hood, but it handles like a dream.

If you were hoping that the unveiling of the 2017 Subaru Impreza on a new platform meant that the WRX would be getting an update too, you will not like this. Word is that the 2018 WRX will soldier on with the same platform that it uses currently.

Japan is getting another cool limited-edition sports car that we won’t get here in the US. The car is the 2017 Subaru WRX S4 tS. Torque from the 2.0-liter, 300 hp turbocharged engine has been enhanced by 10% thanks to a modified air intake and exhaust system. 

Subaru has announced pricing for the 2017 Crosstrek. There’s a small price increase of just $125 across the range. That means that the base model starts at $22,570(USD), the mid-range Premium starts at $23,370, and the high-end Limited is $26,070.

By now, you know that Mark Higgins and Subaru took their new WRX STI to the Isle of Mann and dominated his own track record. A new video has surfaced from Subaru that has Higgins talking us through the entire blazing-fast lap.

Subaru has unveiled a special edition BRZ for the 2017 model year called the BRZ Series.Yellow. The car gets an exclusive yellow exterior color along with an interior in black with yellow accents. The car is also fitted with the Brembo brake package and Sachs performance shocks.

We already know that Subaru had big plans to break records at the Isle of Man Time Trial with Mark Higgins behind the wheel of a new racing car for 2016. As promised, Higgins and his WRX STi have been destroying the Isle of Man course this year.

Saying that a car is getting a power bump for a new model year gets enthusiasts excited. When the details come out and you tell us that power bump is 5hp and 5 lb-ft. of torque, it’s really just an insult.

For a long time you could get the Subaru WRX in a sweet 5-door hatch version. Sadly, in recent model years the hatch version of the WRX was killed off. If you happen to live in Japan, you will be able to get hands on a new wagon known as the Levorg STI.

Earlier this month, we talked a bit about Subaru’s desire to go back to the Isle of Man TT race and break its own world record for cars. The ride that Subaru plans to use to break the record is a new purpose-built 2016 Subaru WRX STi time attack car.

The Isle of Man is one of the fastest, coolest, and deadliest true road races in the world. Motorcyclists fly around closed off public roads at triple digit speeds that are so narrow they would be hard for normal drivers to navigate at low speeds.
