It annoys the bejeebers out of me when cool cars are made but not offered in the US. Such is the case with the sexy Subaru WRI STI S207 limited edition car that will be sold in Japan only.

Subaru has a tendency to target its vehicles directly at active folks that want a vehicular companion for their weekend escapades. From what I can tell from many of Subaru’s concepts, owners must all be into biking as well.

One of the things that you can count on in this world is that everything gets more expensive as the years go by. This is particularly true in the car market, where prices often increase each model year even if there are no changes made to the vehicle.

MotorTrend has published a new video in its Head 2 Head series that pits the 2016 Mazda MX-5 against the 2015 Subaru BRZ. This comparison has been done in the past, but with the old MX-5.

If you show up to enough track days, you are bound to run into some interesting kit cars. I’ve seen plenty of Cobra and Daytona replicas and ran into more than a few Exocet kit cars in my day.

Though it may not be the most original hue chosen for special edition cars, Subaru is coloring their BRZ and WRX STI similar to the Volvo Polestar cars and calling them The Series.Hyperblue because a cool color absolutely requires a cool name with no spaces.

If rally racing were on TV here in the US more frequently, I would watch a lot more of it. The sport gives me anxiety since the cars are so close to trees and certain death if drivers make a mistake.

Subaru recently unveiled the 2016 WRX and STI. The cars were all new last year so there aren’t any major changes. However, the company has added some new safety and technology features to the 2016 model.

When we first saw the Subaru BRZ, we all said. “That’s an awesome car, and such a great platform. The STI is going to be off the hook” (Because we’re all aliens that learned English via Arrested Development and we think people actually say “off the hook.”)

We’ve all been clamoring for a Subaru BRZ STI since we all initially calmed down after first seeing and driving the BRZ. It’s a great car on an incredible chassis that is crying out for more performance.

One of the things that draws many car guys and gals to particular cars is the way they sound. It’s hard to get the same sort of visceral sound from a 4-cylinder car that you can get from a big American V8.

Subaru makes several car models but only three of them have any interest for the car guy in me. They have the cool WRX, the BRZ, and the Crosstrek. I am not a SUV guy, but I really like the looks of the Crosstrek.
